"By attaching the new product to a popular speculation, especially one with built-in dramatic tension, the founders can elevate a buggy, unproven, or partially conceived technology into the cultural firmament, even if only briefly. It’s a cheat code, a way of getting us to relate to a future that’s already been culturally prototyped, and it can be quite successful."

New in Kitten¹: Markdown fragments
You can now write your Markdown in separate .fragment.md files and `import()` them as if they were JavaScript modules, just like you can with HTML and CSS fragments.
And while they don’t support props, they do support slots (including named slots, which you can use as poor man’s props.)
Enjoy!

I appreciate that this quickly clarifies “AI” as machine learning and automation, but can still resent this had to be used in the title so people would maybe read it

Didn't Michael Cohen already go to jail for committing the same crime on Trump's orders that Trump is about to be tried for?

Pigmy Love Circus – “King Of L.A” (1989)
Sympathy For The Record Industry
7" 45 on green translucent vinyl
These guys were crazy, raunchy, and a rather iconic group within the LA underground scene of the late 80s. Their live shows were totally chaotic with lots of audience members getting on stage to sing, dance, stage dive, and generally cause trouble.
Song lyrics are sometimes funny (title track), and sometimes dark and disturbing (“Dagwood Killed Blondie”). I s…

"I am mad that vital human institutions and practices are being threatened, contorted, disrupted, killed off, that hundreds or thousands of people doing this kind of work are unemployed, are fighting for their right to earn a living, because a handful of tech companies have seen fit to profit at their expense, no matter the human cost."

I never thought I would live to see anything more despicable than a religious extremist patriarchal mysogynist regime.
Then I saw two forms of it, each battling the other and killing mostly innocent bystanders, including so many children they cannot all be counted.
I'm not religious. It is plain for all to see though that hell is on earth.

Holy crap is it difficult for me to write a blog post under 300 words.
Excluding the title, of course.
